The Campaign Launced Successfully

The water hyderabad campaign is launched successfully on March 22 2009 by organising the event of Water Awareness Walk. Nearly 200 people have taken part in the walk exhiting various Ply cards and shouting the slogans. The event recieved a wide coverage with most of the Electronic and print media publisising the Event. Youth from various Corporates, Students from schools, like minded environmental activists took a active participation in the program.  

 

The tension begins again !

Finally the next round of panic has already started with the count down for my South Africa trip fast approaching ! Again my worries are multiplying as I still awaite for the corrected verions of accepted letter, Travel itinerary and Fund raising letter. Further more, as always, I have still not started the visa application process !

I have been selected for the Gender and Culture Workshop to be held in Durban, South Africa by Oxfam Australia. This program will be an excellent opportunity for me to understand in detail about the Gender and Culture. 

Water Hyderabad

Some times you step into group of active people who are working on a issue and you get inspired by their commitments and finally you yourself promise to work for the group ! This is what happened to me when I met Vridhi Foundation. The members here are very keen to work for the environment issues. However they are lacking the guidence on where to start and what should be the main topic etc. I helped them to identify Water Scarcity as a major problem to deal with. I was instrumental in making the group decide to work on Advocacy Campaign to make Water Harvesting compulsory in all residential complexes of Hyderabad city.
